Desmond Dekker, nome artistico do primeiro grande astro jamaicano Desmond Adolphus Dacres nascido em Kingston,Jamaica em 16 de Julho de 1941. Cantor e compositor além de um dos pioneiros do Skinhead reggae. 

Foi mencionado em canções de diversos músicos ao longo dos anos, como The Beatles na música "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da", Rancid na música "Roots Radicals", Frank Black na música "Parry the Wind High Low" , entre outros.

DEKKER morreu de ataque cardiaco em 25 de maio de 2006 em sua residencia em Surrey, na Inglaterra.

Quanto ao album foi produzido em 2003 por Graeme Goodall dono da gravadora Pyramid Imprint e nada mais nada menos que o jamaicano descendente de chineses Leslie Kong, produtor que lançou a primeira musica de Jimmy Cliff e os primeiros singles de Bob Marley. Fora Toots & The Maytals, Joe Higgs,Derrick Morgan, John Holt, e Stranger Cole só isso... e a gravadora desse album é a Trojan de Duke Reid.
